| Adrianne Balcom earned a BA in Anthropology from Bard College in 1973. She then worked in the retail business on Newbury St. in Boston before enrolling at the Boston Architectural Center. She earned her BArchitecture from the BAC, a six-year work-study BSA atelier, in 1982. Architectural Design: Adrianne has been self-employed as an architectural designer of new homes and additions since 1982. In conjunction with several contractors, developers and private clients, she has designed over 1,000 projects built all over New England. She resides in the Metro-West area of Massachusetts. Adrianne is not a "Registered Architect", but an "architectural designer". She works closely with a structural engineer registered in Massachusetts, if needed, and his services are billed to the client separately when required. She is an associate of a registered architect, also when required. Terms for Residential Design: Adrianne's current rate is: $50/hr., with a $300 retainer fee paid, deducted from the first billing. There is also a $30/hr. charge for travel. All photocopying ("prints") are re-imbursable by the client. All bills are payable when presented. Company Betterment: Adrianne Balcom is available for consulting in company betterment (analyzing and making suggestions to improve company organization, culture and employee satisfaction). | Adrianne Balcom started film studies in Jr. High in an advanced program in the Newton (MA) school system. At Bard College, she furthered her interest by taking advantage of an on-campus film-screening program. In 1991 she joined WIFV/NE and the Board of Directors. After attending many workshops in film and writing, Adrianne produced a three-part documentary called FAIRBANKS & FIFTY about her parents' experiences in the Alaskan Territories during the 1940's. The series was distributed in 1995 and 1997, with a companion volume "The Letters Home". Adrianne is now interested in producing and directing feature films from her original screenplays/concepts. | Adrianne Balcom started Art lessons at the age of 9. In High School, she was an Art Major : clay, metal, fiber, painting , set design, graphic design and photography. At Bard College, she minored in Art History and took Art classes. She travelled in Europe, England & Israel in the 70's and specialized in Ektachrome(R) slides.
